If you are from a country within the European Union, no visa is required.
Otherwise, several visas allow you to work for us. You need to obtain one before coming to France :
• A student visa allows you to work part-time: you need to be accepted into a French study program, usually at University, to obtain this visa.
• A working visa: if you have already found a position in France, such as an English Assistant in a school, you should be eligible for this visa.
• A working-holiday visa exists with some countries such as Canada and Australia. Please verify with your nearest French Embassy to see if you are eligible.
• A “private life visa”, if you are married to a French person, you may be entitled to this visa which allows you to work.
A tourist visa does not allow you to work in France.
I find it very rewarding that you can see the kids progressing! What I also like about this job is that everyone is very friendly and we do things after work together, which is nice.
I like that I teach to different kids everyday and to different groups of age! I love this diversity.
